Precipitating or prohibiting factor: Coaches’ perceptions of their role and actions in anti-doping
Allen, Justine; Morris, Rhiannon; Dimeo, Paul; Robinson, Leigh (SAGE, 2017-10-01)Coaches are frequently cited as potentially precipitating or preventing athletes’ engagement in doping. However, little is known about coaches’ perspectives. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine coaches’ ... -
Improving HEVC Coding Efficiency Using Virtual Long-Term Reference Pictures
Erabadda, Buddhiprabha; Mallikarachchi, Thanuja; Kulupana, Gosala; Fernando, Anil (2020-10-13)Inter-frame prediction in HEVC uses two types of reference pictures: short-term and long-term. Out of these long-term reference (LTR) pictures enable exploiting correlation among frames with extended ... -
Does the time of the attacking action in kendo influence the success rate of ippon?
Ogle, James Gordon (2015-01)The aim of this study was to investigate whether the time of an attacking action influenced the success rate of ippon (valid point) in international, elite level kendo. There is a lack of variability analysis in the area ...
