The problem of pension assurance is not yet resolved worldwide. Governments seek the most appropriate form of pension assurance. There are different forms of pension assurance and this dissertation explores the problem of the introduction of risk profiling of pension schemes and more specifically the pros and cons from introduction of such a system in Bulgaria. The first chapter of my work consists of a picture of the current pension assurance system in Bulgaria. Also there is a description of pension schemes with risk profile. In the literature review I described first the Chilean Model, or the country, where the multi-funds started their existence. Also there is a description of other pension assurance models I other countries such as Poland, Romania and Estonia. In the methodology section I described what methods I have used for my primary and secondary research. In the Data and Analysis section I described the two primary researches I have used to analyze more deeply the problem about risk profiling of pension schemes. In the Conclusions and Recommendations I pointed out, what should be done for introducing multi-funds in Bulgaria and I summarized the data, which I received from my primary and secondary research about the problem.
