The aim of the study is to find out if the various pieces of previous research and literature actually link with what happens with what happens (sic)in coaching in reality. The study was conducted with three coaching participants that all had previous knowledge and experience in working with empowerment. In order to gather the data these participants were all interviewed on the various areas of empowerment as well as there (sic)sporting background. The interviews used open-ended questions as much as possible in order to let the participants give deep explanations within their answers. After the interviews were conducted they were transcribed in order to draw results from. In the results it was found that the perceived benefits of each coach were relatively similar to each other and that of the theory. Although there were some variations within the findings for the issues that coaches perceived when applying empowerment, and the various ways that it is applied.
