The field of enquiry is leadership and management in music education. The research method is empirical. The article is completely original. The journal in which the article was included is an international peer-refereed publication. Another article from the same project which focussed on leadership and management in primary school music was published in the British Journal of Music Education. Both papers are joint authored. The second author is based in University of Gloucester.
