Many different types of companies today are moving to the Internet and have or want to have a website. With websites becoming more widely used, it’s becoming more popular for the companies to manage the content of their website themselves which is where a Content Management System comes relevant. Norman Environmental LTD wishes to massively increase advertising and fully utilise the benefits that the Internet has to offer with a website that they can keep updated to promote their services. Norman Environmental LTD did not have a website which caused an issue. To tackle this issue I designed a system that formed the foundations of a website that allowed Norman Environmental LTD to effectively manage their website content. Necessary research has been carried out to ensure the system has been developed with many aspects in mind such as relevant legislation, design techniques and testing methods so that the system was designed, developed, implemented, tested and documented to a high standard. This project includes all of these different phases from how the system was designed based upon user requirements, to how it was then implemented and then finally tested.
