Abstract
In today’s competitive business world, businesses strive to improve their connection with their clients and to ensure that they as a company are as accessible to both current and new customers as best as possible. Cadwyn housing Association had limited connection with their customers as they were still relying heavily on the use of phone calls within office hours to access their customers. This caused problems with customers who were not able to be contacted within office hours. To approach this issue I set about working on a system that could not only improve the connection between the company and its tenants but also making the website more interactive for staff members outside of work hours. I constructed a prototype system to satisfy this issue. This project documents the process and path that the system took and results in a website that is fully tested and complies with various demands such as web standards and certain legislation such as the Data Protection Act 1998. Although this may not change the way that companies communicate with their clients for years to come, I do believe that the system benefits the company and most importantly their tenants in future when accessing information from the business.
