To Evaluate the Feasibility of Setting up a Business in the Food Production Industry

The aim of this project was to critically evaluate the viability of setting up a business in the food production industry, specialising in a new brand of pasta sauce. In order to achieve this aim, objectives were set out; to conduct a literature review, carry out relevant market research, analyse the current business situation by using SWOT and PEST, examine the legal requirements linked to the food production industry, create a business plan and three years financial forecasts, evaluate the business idea and feasibility, make conclusions and relevant recommendations to take the business forward. It can be concluded that this project is viable; however completing the recommendations could only improve its potential for success.
