This Entreprise Project aims to evaluate the feasibility and viability of setting up the first dessert-only restaurant in Cardiff, The Dessert House. This project has been realised for the completion of a BA (Hons) International Business Management. This project has highlighted a gap on a niche and specialized market, the dessert-only restaurant segment. While this has been a trend in the USA for 5 years now, it still has reached Cardiff yet. After research, with primary research (questionnaires and interview), this project has evaluate the hospitality market, the environment and also includes a competitor analysis to understand what needs to be done in order to compete against them and become profitable. Introducing a new concept somewhere can be difficult, but The Dessert House has identified its target market and most of the strategy has been created in accordance to this audience. It will take some time for The Dessert House to become profitable, but the investment from the managing director will compensate the loss for the first year. With the course of the time and thanks to a better establishment on the market, The Dessert House will become profitable in year 2. The Dessert House has taken all the trends and gaps in the market and adapted it to the local population, which will help it to be successful.
