Abstract
This piece of research is designed to produce a positional profile for elite scrum half’s at the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The main aim is to create an accurate and meaningful profile that can be used by a variety of different agencies such as players and coaches. The data and results that are presented within this study provide an insight to the key characteristic of elite international scrum half’s and outline any differences between nations. A hand notation system will be used to collect all of the data required to create an accurate positional profile. The data and results will be presented in a logical manner with reference to academic material. Finally this research will discuss the findings and provide explanations of the findings that are made.
