This enterprise project is centralised on establishing a home-based wedding cake business in Roath, Cardiff. The aim of the project is to provide a detailed study of all areas concerned in the business start- up process in order to evaluate whether or not this business will succeed and flourish. Project and business aims and objectives have been written which will allow the author to complete an evaluation and conclude whether the business will be successful at the end of the project. A literature review shall outline all the aspects of setting up a business as well as undertake thorough research on the wedding market and establish bakery trends in the UK. The market study involved both primary and secondary research in order to gain a good insight into what customers want and to understand how the competitors operate and what they offer. This allowed the author to discover a gap in the market which the business will aim to fill. The business plan itself will summarise the necessary stages required to set up this business. This involves financial documents, legal requirements, marketing plan, and the discussion and outcomes of other findings. As a result of the research gathered, the author believes that the business idea has the potential to be very successful and fit into the current market. The projected profits for the first three years are as follows and show that the business should be financially stable: Year 1: £15,172 Year 2: £19,918 Year 3: £21,856
