The enterprise project aim is to evaluate the feasibility of designing, establishing and developing a Party Fashion Boutique in the Cardiff area. The proposed business idea is to offer high quality dresses and accessories for elegant females to costume to events and occasions. In order for this aim can be achieved, various objectives have been set and completed throughout the project. The main text of this project is the business plan which involved an extensive amount of research and can be found in chapter three. Within the business plan chapter the author focused on the main key areas that help to construct the business plan these are market research, product information, marketing plan, SWOT and PEST analysis, legal obligations and final cash flows. The primary research conducted received 70 responses, from this 73% said they would rather shop for a party wear outfit in a boutique than a high street shop. 94% believe there is a market for more boutiques to start up and 52 % said they would pay between £100 - £250 plus for a birthday dress. From completing the business plan it has been established that the idea of opening a party fashion boutique in Cardiff is feasible as market research has shown a demand in the market for boutiques to start-up. The financial forecasts have demonstrated the businesses profitability and feasibility over a three year period. The business being proposed is Posh Frocks which will operate as a sole trader business. Charlotte Connelly will be the proprietor, managing the businesses operations on a day to day basis. The owner hopes that Posh Frocks will become the most popular fashion boutique in Cardiff within the first three years of trading.
