coaches participated in this study. One of which was a rugby coach with 15 years coaching experience and the other a trampoline gymnastics coach with 6 years’ experience. The coaches training sessions were video recorded to be used as a tool for their reflections. Interviews were utilized to question the coaches about their reflections. The interviews enabled for more in depth discussions on their reflections. This study revealed that the video reflections allowed for more in-depth reflections. Furthermore the video facilitated recall and allowed the coaches to be aware of more instances to reflect on. The study came to inconclusive results on whether the coaches coach review their reflection-in-action when reflecting with the video. For future research the data collection process needs to be revised to ensure a greater range of data can be analysed. This topic needs to be investigated on a larger scale with the addition of novice and experienced coaches’. Furthermore it needs to be investigated whether using video analysis for coaches to reflect is practical due to time constraints and accessibility.
