The author feels she has the necessary skills, drive and determination to undertake a new business venture such as Café de Bebe. The project start by reviewing current literature on this business area and critically assessing factors such as current trends, qualities of an entrepreneur, business skills and how to gain the competitive advantage. Many areas relating to the business subject have been thoroughly researched to be able to understand the market which this business is entering. The business plan follows and this involved various methods of data collection such as primary and secondary research. The primary research in the market study was performed with the use of an online questionnaire. The secondary research was compiled by critically analysing text books, journals and reports on line about the industry. The market research was a vital part of this project as it has helped the author understand better her target markets needs and desires. This data also helped to shape the financial forecasts which were put together for the first three years of trading. The project concludes with a detailed discussion of the author's relevant findings followed by recommendations and improvements to the future of the project.
