UWIC Cardiff School of Management student attendance system for the MBA: Analysis, Design and Implementation of student attendance prototype at University of Wales Institute Cardiff

Abstract

This research document focuses on attendance systems used or developed in some UK universities and mainly concentrates on the analysis, design and implementation of a Student Attendance System for the MBA at Cardiff School of Management at UWIC. This research shows that there is a need to develop bespoke system that complies with user requirements. The research approach adopted in this dissertation includes interviews and observations of tutors and clerks at UWIC School of Management. The outcome of this dissertation project is a complete information system which fully satisfies existing and potential users. This dissertation also recommends further development of the product in order to increase the benefits of the system.
