Abstract
The ability to perform repeated bouts of sprinting is vital in the performance of many sports. Exercise tests have already been developed which assess this sprinting ability; however, repeated-sprint tests have rarely been performed using running in a laboratory setting and the reliability of such procedures has not been reported in adults prior to the publication of this study. As well as documenting reliability, the study provides guidance on subject-preparation and habituation which were otherwise lacking in the literature. Hughes designed the study, carried out all data collection, conducted the majority of the analysis, and wrote the manuscript.
