An evaluation of the feasibility of setting up a music promotion company in Cardiff

The aim of this enterprise project is to assess whether it is feasible to open a new event management company based is Cardiff that specialises in live music promotion. In order to achieve this aim various objectives have been completed within the project. They include; writing a literature review, conducting a S'WOT analysis, undertaking market research, investigating legislation, presenting a business plan and analysing the financial outcome of the venture. The largest chapter of this project is the business plan. The plan involved a high level of research that explored the areas or market research, promotion activities and methods, financial cash flows and service information. As a result of completing this project, it has been determined that opening a live music promotion company in Cardiff is feasible and can be successful. Market research indicates the demand for event such as this, and through cash flow forecasts, shows the business can be profitable. The proposed business is called Go Ape Productions and is based in a home office in Cardiff city centre. The property has great transport links and a great location to aid networking and working in venues in the city. The company will provide a multitude of live music genres to a target audience of the age group t8-24.It is predicted that the business will grow and increase it number of employees over the forecasted years and become a successful music promotion company in the heart of Wales.
