Senor tapas: Establishing the feasibility of setting up a mobile events catering business in the South Wales area

The aim of this enterprise project is to assess the feasibility of setting up a mobile catering business specialising in Spanish Cuisine to operate within the South Wales area. To do this the author identified and set out a list of aims and objectives in order to bring the project to its completion. The first of these was to undertake a literature review, which included extensive desk based research. This investigated academic work relating to business and catering. In addition to this the work also entailed, market analysis of the sector, trends and economic growth and the legal issues facing the hospitality trade. Primary research was conducted in the form of questionnaires. The questionnaires were collated from weekend food markets and assessed the feasibility and potential demand for such a business that the author proposes. This information collected allowed the author to undergo construction of a detailed business plan to support the business concept. The financial forecasting of the business, what the business would need to be established and the legal requirements were studied in-depth. Also a SWOT analysis was devised to assess the current state of the business and whether it could enter the market. The author then discussed analysed and concluded the feasibility of setting up the proposed business.
