Jazz music originated from the US in the mid-19th century but was only attributed with the name Jazz and widely listened to at the beginning of the 20th century, since then it has seen a growth in styles and variations of music through each decade. So in order for an establishment to succeed in housing live music, it would be essential to incorporate a foundational realism of historical Jazz.
This leads us to clarifying the reasons behind this project, with all factors analysed before business start-up. This project delves into important elements such as market research, discovering people's idealism of another Jazz venue in Cardiff city centre also whether the current market place will accept or accommodate another outlet.
One aspect the author will try to fathom would be the problems associated with starting a business from precise financing to ensuring customers visit the venue. Seeing as twenty five public houses are closed every week nationally according to Jazz in Society, those two sections will need to be thoroughly examined to ensure the business achieves success.
This project aims to provide an insight into developing a proposal to open a business, which is on a similar scale to that of an entrepreneur. Discussing the feasibility of the business will be conducted throughout the project to provide an insight into the process of formulating a business plan.
