The nature of this project was to investigate and evaluate the domestic cleaning market and the business planning process, and to complete an informative market study and detailed business plan to show the feasibility of setting up a successful business. Falcon Cleaning Services is a business offering a domestic cleaning service in the areas of Roath and Cathays, Cardiff. The businesses unique selling point is that it will offer a low price cleaning service aimed at the students living in these areas. It plans to adopt a competitive stance and looks to undercut businesses currently operating within the market. The projects market study and market research conducted in the business plan provided vital information regarding the domestic cleaning industry, market and the consumer. Primary and secondary research has been concisely conducted and a competitor analysis and competitor SWOT analysis has been included within the project to identify important points concerning the business's main competitors in the market. A SWOT analysis was completed for the potential student cleaning service operating in Cardiff showing a number of strengths and opportunities and little reasoning for the business idea to fail. This added with the extensive market research carried out indicates a niche in the domestic cleaning market for a business to start up in Cardiff with if s target market being students. The financial figures forecasted for the first three years of operation agree with the need for this business and show it to be in a healthy financial situation if all assumptions made are correct. With all the information from the project and business plan put together the author successfully concludes that it is highly feasible to set up a student cleaning business in Cardiff.
