The aim of this enterprise project was to evaluate the feasibility for a mobile children's soccer school in the Cheltenham and North Gloucestershire area. The objectives of the enterprise were to analyse existing literature to grasp an idea on what is already known. It was also necessary to conduct market research which gave an indication of the demand of the service within the area. This concluded that there was a niche in the market for such an enterprise. This confirmation then allowed the author to produce a business plan including all necessary information for this business start up such as; legal requirements, purchasing equipment, human resources and financial reports. Through family links to local primary schools, questionnaires were distributed to five schools identified as being in contrasting regions of Cheltenham, ideal for the business start up. Through secondary research it was apparent that football is the most played sport in the region and the country. The author was keen to investigate the football playing habits of the children and what provision had already been made. Cheltenham Soccer Development will be successful as its ethos is to get everybody involved and to maintain the concept of maximum enjoyment. With the ever growing popularity of football combined with the ongoing problem in obese children as well as other factors; this business has got a great opportunity.
