The aim of the enterprise project was to investigate the feasibility of setting up a themed boutique hotel in Cardiff. First of all it was necessary to undertake research into the current market, the potential customers and the business' competitors. Therefore primary and secondary research was carried out by the author. Secondary research was gathered from various written sources such as books, newspapers, journals, etc. Besides, a questionnaire was compiled for a hotel guest survey in Cardiff. Apart from that a SWOT and PEST analysis were carried out for the business in question. The research spotted clearly a gap for themed boutique hotels in the hotel market. The main part of the project was definitely the business plan. These results are based on findings from the in- depth market research. The business has been carefully thought out and details have been given for the services it will provide. Furthermore financial forecasts were carried out for the business. They concluded that good investment will produce good returns. Themed boutique hotels are rare in the UK. Indeed, many hotels could be considered as boutique or themed but hardly any of them combine both features. However there is a high potential for these businesses as they are able to attract through their uniqueness. The discussion and conclusion sections analyse the results of the research concluding that the business could definitely be feasible and successful.en_US
