This project set out to discover the feasibility of setting up a cocktail themed bar in the heart of Cardiff Bay. This project evaluates key factors required such as; market research, financial forecasts, recommendations and limitations. The author has worked in Cardiff's hospitality industry over the past three years. Having discovered the lack of variety of cocktails on offer throughout Cardiff's hospitality sector, the author saw great potential to offer a venue with a diverse, unique and changeable cocktail menu. Due to the authors' knowledge, experience and qualifications, the author feels qualified to conduct a sufficient and realistic business plan. Through competitor analysis, the author confirmed that although the chosen location housed many bars, there was a lack of cocktail themed bars, showing The Cockertoo would be unique in its environment. Secondary research suggested that the 'ready to drink' cocktail industry was increasing, showing a higher demand for cocktails, giving The Cockertoo the opportunity to obtain this market. Through this gap in the market, the author believed The Cockertoo to have great potential within its environment to thrive and succeed.
