Abstract
Measurement of cardiac output is a difficult and usually invasive technique which is unsuitable for general use in children. This research investigated the reliability of a new non-invasive technique for the measurement of cardiac output during maximal exercise in children. The high reliability of this technique makes it highly applicable to use both in the medical sciences and in sport sciences. Welford contributed to the design of the study, the data collection, data analysis, and edited the paper.
