This dissertation has been produced as part of my final project for my Masters in Business Administration Post-graduate degree. The survey undertaken had its mains objectives within the field of Marketing. The goal was to investigate and to provide the basis for successful Marketing strategies which can be implemented in the eBay platform without incurring additional costs to the sellers. The study focuses on the Top Rated Seller criterions embedded on the eBay platform, which actually determine how successful or not sellers are. Furthermore, the study has provided that customers are businesses most important assets although they are not factored in the Balance Sheet or other Ledger accounts. Thus, it is top priority for sellers to establish relationships and cooperate with their customers. In addition, it has been concluded that the way towards doing this is engaging in Relationship Marketing activities, which benefit both the sellers and the buyers. Last but not least, the study investigated buyers’ sensitive nature from the perspective of control they exert over sellers, touching on matters such as reasonable compensations in the case of seller’s error and beyond the call of duty customer demands, which are actual costs to the business and are not included in the primary contract.
