dc.description.abstractCurrent dissertation comprise of five chapters: introduction, literature review, methodology, findings & data analysis and conclusions & recommendations. The writing is focused on leadership and discusses the multiple aspects of existing theory on the subject by describing the typical characteristics, philosophy, traits, skills and consequences associated with each major leadership style. This study looks into the effect of leadership style over the level of job satisfaction of the employees of one of the leading domestic financial institution. The purpose of the study is to prove the importance of leadership style for sustaining high level of job satisfaction and low staff turnover. Primary research is applied to portray the prevailing leadership style in the studied business organization and the satisfaction which it has produced. The dissertation begins with introductory chapter for the research scope, aims and objectives. Second chapter comprises of a critical review of existing literature on leadership theories and tracks their evolution from trait through behavior theories, situational leadership, and contingency theories to charismatic, transactional and transformational leadership. Along with the insights into the qualities of effective leader is studied and revealed the importance of successful adaptation to contingency factors and the leaders’ role in relationship with subordinates. The following methodology chapter specifies the applied research methodology and research techniques in order to accomplish the undertaken study. Current research is based on the deductive approach – a hypothesis is formulated after secondary research and afterwards tested by collecting primary data. The findings and data analysis chapter outlines the results from primary research and investigate their relevance to formulated hypothesis. The dissertation ends with conclusion & recommendations chapter which discusses the relation between the research objectives, theoretical framework and its practical implications in the studied sampling frame. Based on the collected results a proposal for further researches is provided.en_US
