The aim of this Enterprise project is to evaluate whether it would be feasible to set up a mobile catering unit within Hereford and whether there is a gap in the market to serve gourmet food which is locally sourced and homemade. In order to complete this aim the author had to identify objectives to follow to help assess the feasibility in various steps and stages. The following objectives were set; • To conduct a comprehensive literature review regarding the start-up of businesses likewise to the proposed business. Alongside this use relevant sources of information associated with the hospitality industry such as books, journals and the internet and relevant literature regarding similar businesses. • Conduct primary and secondary market research to assess the potential demand for the proposed business ideas using primary methods such as questionnaires and interviews to relevant business owners as well as carrying out secondary research using tools such as Mintel and Key Note to compile research regarding the market. • Research in detail, the relevant legal requirements for the business. • Construct a detailed business plan to check the feasibility of the proposed business. Use all aspects such as finance, products and services, business objectives, the market and marketing and the management of human resources. • Evaluate the financial feasibility from the results of the business planning process including using cash flow statements, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and ratio calculations. • Conclude and make relevant recommendations with regards to the research and findings found from completing the Enterprise project
