The aim of this project is to assess the nightclub industry in Cardiff to determine the feasibility of setting up a warehouse style nightclub called Lakehouse. The project will focus upon the ability of this enterprise to be successfully set up and operated in a sustainable way that can generate profits over time. Initially, the project will focus upon literature that surrounds the industry in which nightclubs are based. This collection of material will form the literature review. An executive summary will follow this with the purpose of summarising the business as a whole. A business plan will then be formed. This is the most detailed part of the project that includes what Lakehouse has to offer. Details of marketing channels, financial forecasts, market research and management techniques will be covered. To indicate the environment that Lakehouse will operate within both internally and externally, a SWOT and PEST analysis will be conducted. Future developments of Lakehouse will then be discussed. Following the business plan will be an analysis and discussion of findings. This will critically evaluate results found and discuss the way in which the author constructed the business plan. The overall feasibility of setting the business up will be determined in this section. A conclusion will then be formed. Within this, the author will discuss whether or not the original objectives have been achieved.
