The aim of the enterprise project is to evaluate the feasibility of launching an Aluminium Set and Stage Hire Company in Cardiff, South Wales in the corporate events industry. Aims and objectives where formulated to realise the feasibility of setting up of a new company named Stage Guy. Secondary research was carried out in the form of a literature review to examine the current market trends, this focused around the events industry, corporate events, small businesses, funding a small business and market research. Primary research was carried out by interviewing four companies in the South Wales area, the process included researching businesses who might be interested in hiring the aluminium stage. The task supported the feasibility of the product and identified a potential market. Three out of four businesses interviewed showed a desire for hiring a portable stage. A detailed business plan was conducted to show findings that supported the Stage Guy concept. The aims and objectives devised, reinforced the direction of the project and ensured key components were included. The conclusion of the research enabled the author to prepare a marketing strategy and further demonstrate the feasibility of Stage Guy. The business plan includes a financial forecast, the author has also researched health and safety and legal requirements for preliminary start up manufacturing. A SWOT analysis has been created to assess the feasibility of the business, to demonstrate how robust the company would be in the current market place. In conclusion the author is confident that the concept of Stage Guy is a niche product which can be delivered to a vibrant events and corporate industry within the South Wales region. The detailed feasibility and analysis that has been undertaken is supported by the enthusiasm, drive and the author’s personal experience in the market place. The three year financial forecast predicts that the business aims to make a profit in its third year through the determination of the author given the limited financial ability.
