The bar will sell beverages, sourced locally from around Cardiff, Wales from an upcycled bar. The aim will be achieved by setting out SMART objectives. The first objective is to write a detailed literature review that includes extensive secondary research regarding the market, market trends and the target audience. The research will be completed by using academic books, journals, government and local authority reports and industry reports. A questionnaire containing both open and closed questions will be used as primary research to collect data regarding the markets spending habits, opinions and preferences regarding the businesses operations. A detailed business plan will be created for PortaBars by using information gathered during the primary and secondary research. This will include financial forecasts, the legal obligations of the business, the businesses products and services and marketing strategy. A SWOT analysis will be undertaken to help identify the businesses market position and identify any risks. The author will conclude by critically assessing the findings to establish if PortaBars is a feasible business.
