Abstract
Bulgarian private security business is a topic that is insufficiently researched. The security services are underestimated in Bulgaria, although their demand in Europe is increasing. The entering of Bulgaria in the European Union in 2007 made us external border, with all its advantages and responsibilities. That is why the purpose of this research is to investigate this sphere of the business with its problems and tendencies. Although there are not many researches in the field of security business in Bulgaria the reviewed literature focuses on the history of the private security business and the different problems it faces. It shows the opinion of the different authors and critically explores their ideas. The study adopts phenomenological approach and by observing the specific tries to reach the main hypothesis. The chosen purposive sampling allows studies in depth. The used method of data collection is mixed, which has the advantage to take all the benefits from both quantitative and qualitative methods of research. Secondary and primary research findings confirm the information published in the reviewed literature. They help clear the picture of the situation in the security business in Bulgaria and underline the main problems it faces. In addition the findings highlight the main conclusions, which are drawn in connection with the aims and objectives of the dissertation. Recommendations also are identified, like possible ways for solving the problems and ideas for future researches are suggested.
