An exploratory evaluation of motivation: A Study of the Harbourmaster Hotel, Aberaenron

This thesis adopted an inductive, interpretivistic, qualitative research approach to investigating the factors affecting employee motivation at the Harbourmaster Hotel, Aberaeron. The work utilised both focus group interviews and semi-structured interviews in relation to the data collection, comprising of a sample of 14 front of house employees and 3 senior management employees. The research questions were deciphered from findings within the literature review and furthermore based on the opinions and beliefs from the participants additional discussion also derived from this.
