Abstract
The main purpose of the current dissertation is related to that to be found out the more popular practice in Bulgarian individual’s financial behavior to invest or save. They are asked many individuals for their financial preferences (to invest or save). The investigation has been performed with the paper based questionnaires’. The results are worked out using excel 2010 pivot tables, charts and diagram tools. The data will show how the people are behaving, because it will help us to understand everything about the financial culture of Bulgarians, something not investigated so hard in the past. The dissertation will provide more knowledge about that, it will reveal the financial behaving and the reasons and factors influencing the preferences of Bulgarians in their more than 20 years history of changing from planned to market economy. The first chapter is about the main research objectives and the research questions which I will attempt to answer throughout this paper. The second chapter describes everything known until now about the personal savings and investments in Bulgaria in this occasion secondary sources and theoretical concepts, debates and issues. The third chapter reveals the data research results after the questionnaires investigation and the all relevant issues disclosed with the research results. I have used the deductive approach of design and testing of hypothesis. There are also and the respective evidences about the investigation, the quality and credibility of the revealed information. Transparency, logical explanation supported with the appropriate evidences. The next chapter is for the analysis of both investigations (primary and secondary) supported with graphical representation. The next chapter reveals information about the literature review and the research findings. There will be discussed the issues related between the both, how they are interrelated and so on and so forth. The last chapter is for conclusion and any recommendations related to the discussed problem.
