Abstract The critical issue in various courses in Higher Education relates to active learning pedagogy. From lecturers’ point of view it can be difficult to monitor students individually; to select students with weaker performance; to know how well students focused, etc. From students’ point of view, there have been occasions when they struggled with topic and lecturers’ attention and confidentiality was essential. Teaching and learning activities can be supported with R.A.G.E. system that could solve the issues and increase students’ participation in the classroom. Augmented Reality could be used as alternative offering confidentiality and great benefits for both students and lecturers. In this dissertation project, the first and current Augmented Reality systems are described in a literature review; followed by conducting research into the latest Augmented Reality technology Google Glass along with R.A.G.E. system. This section was concluded with underlining the importance of Human computer interface and potential risks. Qualitative approach using interview and observation method have been selected in order to confirm or revaluate the enhancements of R.A.G.E. Google Glass in the classroom. NVivo analytical tool have been used for thematic analyses of interviews in order to gather emotional positive and negative responses from both lecturers and students interviews. Participant observation with checklists has been used for analyses of observational data to define the weaknesses and strengths of R.A.G.E. system. The development process has been limited by not having Google Glass device. Interface was created as a replica of Google Glass RAGE application. The dissertation is concluded with reviewing of aims, research question and objectives; discussion of findings and future work.
