Abstract
Abstract – Abdirahman Hassan The aim of this study is to investigate how social media can be used in businesses. More specifically they study will aim to look at the rise in online businesses via social media. The business will look into the results of the dramatic changes in business techniques and the methods which were used to communicate with customers and to allow the customers to buy their desired products. Another aim of this research is to discover and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of social media for business. To achieve the objectives and answering the research questions, a qualitative method based on interviews was used so to attain in depth understanding from the interviews. The participants of the study are the users of social media and designated employees by the businesses to manage social media accounts specifically created for business purposes by the companies.
