Abstract
Abstract – Daniel James Pitt The dissertation project demonstrates the introduction of a new interactive website for members of Windsor Lawn tennis Club within the town of Penarth. The website was developed to improve the design and functionality of the current website, enhance the club facilities and increase social connections between members. The project illustrates a full analysis of the current website to discover its shortcomings and identify areas for improvement for the new development. The key design considerations in the process of web development and the developmental approaches to such a task are revealed. The data collection methods for the study are detailed along with an in-depth analysis of the results to gather user requirements. An evaluation of the design tools available for the development is discussed as well as the justification for the chosen approach. The fully implemented website designs are presented including a sitemap of the website structure. The testing of the website reveals that the website is a success and fully functional and further evidenced by an end user test. A conclusion summarises the overall process of the dissertation and furthermore illustrates developments for the future.
