The Enterprise Project has been produced to evaluate the viability of opening a cupcake shop in Roath, Cardiff. The project is filled with all aspects of a business plan to accurately show the success of the idea. The following objectives have been met within the business plan in order to complete the aim of the project: Conduct a comprehensive literature review to find out relevant information on current small businesses and how they survived. Carry out in-depth market research to find out if the cupcake shop is likely to produce enough profit to survive compared to the competitors in the area. Investigate into the legal issues regarding setting up a small business. Produce a business plan to show the profitability for a cupcake shop. Evaluate the feasibility of the idea. Conclude and make recommendations for the future of the business. Secondary research has proven that the market has been and is projected to be strong and successful, with large amounts of growth predicted. Further evidence shows the popularity for small cakes and desserts to be high, with no views of change. Further market research also backs this information up with positive feedback from potential customers. A group of financial documents also prove how viable the business idea is, showing the business breaking even in the first year, while turning over high profits. By the end of the third year the business should be making sufficient funds to consider development within the business.
