The programme explored the 25th anniversary of the movement of the Patent Office from central London to Newport, Gwent and it focussed on the role of innovation in the Welsh economy as well as the impact of the move of large government organisations into Wales. Of particular interest was the community of Cwmfelinfach where the Patent Office (now known as the Intellectual Property Office) stores rare documents on the site of a former colliery (9 mile point)
