The aim of this project is to evaluate the feasibility of establishing an outdoor pursuit and training centre in Crumlin, Gwent, South Wales. In order to complete this objective, the author had established a set of aims and objectives, which can be found in the introduction. At the beginning of the project, the author conducted secondary research which took form of a literature review. Using relevant books, journal articles, government reports, internet sites and further materials in order to gain an understanding of the activity industry and establish whether there was a gap in the market. The author then carried out extensive primary market research, by publishing online questionnaires through Qualtrics survey software which were successfully completed by 144 candidates, as well as undertaking 2 interviews with those who have experience in the sporting and activity industry. The results were then used to implement business decisions and, to make assumptions for finances and assess whether or not the business plan was feasible. This information formed the business plan containing both SWOT and PESTLE analysis conducted, competitor analysis, the products and services, human resources, marketing strategy, legal issues, future development and more. This business plan concluded with information required and was the centre of determining whether the business would be a feasible and profitable concept. Once the business plan was completed, the author then critically analysed and evaluated the process. This contained highlighting the business planning and market research process. Making possible recommendations if the process was to be competed again. The final chapter of the enterprise project saw the aims and objectives to be re-visited, where a conclusion was drawn on whether these aims and objectives were to be successful.
