This Enterprise Project has been produced to evaluate the feasibility of opening a Pub with a Training Restaurant. The Training Restaurant will be a normal working restaurant open to the public, however on select weeks will be the setting for staff members from other small hospitality businesses to train in. The Pub will be located in Wilson, Derby, just a stone’s throw away from the Peak District. This location has been chosen due to its close proximity to the M1, and so is easily accessible for businesses who will be attending the Training Business. This project will look at academic literature and other secondary research, in addition to primary research collected by the Author/Owner. The primary research collected comprises of both interviews to fellow businesses, currently without a training programme and questionnaires to the public. Both research methods used proved a gap in the market for this training business provided to improve customer service and knowledge/skills of staff members from other hospitality businesses. Research also found that there was a need for this type of business. Financial figures can be found within this document, which outline how much this business will cost to set up and run for the following three years. This shows that the businesses together will generate a profit which will increase year on year. In addition to this there are several plans in the pipeline to expand both businesses which will also significantly increase sales, consequently increasing the profit further.
