Establishing the feasibility of setting up Polish traditional restaurant in Bristol, England

The aim of this enterprise project is to assess feasibility of setting up full-service restaurant specialising in Polish traditional cuisine to operate in Bristol, England. In order to do this the author set out a list of aim and objectives necessary to cover every important aspect of business set up. The first objective – a literature review, helped to investigate academic work relating to business as a whole and , full-service restaurant sector in particular. Additionally, secondary research in form of literature review also helped to identify target market and restaurant location along with current dining out trends. Lastly this part of research helped to identify legal obligations while setting up business and current issues on the market that may have an impact on this business proposal. Primary research was conducted in form of questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaires were split into two separate target markets: Polish community and General Public, and conducted in Polish shops in Bristol, and in close proximity to proposal restaurant location at Clare Street respectively. As the second part of primary research, the author undertook two interviews with Polish restaurant owners in the United Kingdom. Acquired information allowed the author construction of business plan in order to support business concept. The financial forecasts and overall costings were analysed and calculated in-depth in order to deliver figures as close as it is possible to reality. At the end of this work the author discusses and concludes the feasibility of setting up proposed business idea of Polish traditional full-service restaurant in Bristol.
