The Development Of A Conceptual Model To Facilitate Personalised Recommendations In a Hybrid Location Aware Recommender System.

Music streaming is an extremely popular service online. This study will address the issues that surround personalising the user experience of every individual user by recommending them content they would be most interested in. This will be achieved via investigating the field of artificial intelligence, assessing the benefits and drawbacks of current systems and also evaluate the various modelling methodologies which can assist in modelling the proposed solution. The investigation will be aided by reviewing past literature such as articles, research papers, academically credited resources and other websites. Initially, the aims and objectives of the study were defined. This was followed by a detailed examination of the available literature. The methodologies and underlying concepts gained from the literature and other observations of similar systems were used to devise a conceptual model of the proposed system. Later, the findings which resulted from the literature review were critically evaluated. After this, clear methodologies were defined that would be used in the creation of the conceptual model. The resulting model was also critically evaluated and its benefits and drawbacks were also identified along with future recommendations. As a result of this study, we were able to develop the proposed model which utilises the stay point algorithm and the hierarchical graph based similarity measurement in order to group users via their location and offer them personalised recommendations.
