The purpose of this enterprise project, is to evaluate the feasibility for setting up a wedding consultancy business, in Newport, Gwent. The business is designed to provide a professional service, delivering wedding planning assistance through affordable consultations. The enterprise project was conducted, through producing a comprehensive literature review, business plan, generate financial forecasts and form an analysis. In addition to, engaging with primary research concerning consumers and competitors in the wedding planning industry. In order for the entrepreneur to develop a clear understanding of the wedding planning industry, a literature review was conducted. This involved in depth research from various resources, to appreciate the wedding industry, highlight key influences within the business environment and form an appreciation to various marketing techniques. Primary research was conducted through the form of an online questionnaire. This received 80 responses from consumers. In addition, two interviews were conducted with wedding planners based in South Wales, to engage with an understanding of the projects future competitors, and how they operate in the wedding industry. The business plan, details how the business will operate. Acknowledging key aspects of forming a business, through assessing appropriate external factors and making assumptions to the business’s future potential. Linking relevant business factors, to the business’s main goals. A detailed discussion and analysis was then formed, to review the results and assess the business venture’s viability through consideration to the projects aims and objectives. A conclusion was then presented to underpin the findings of the enterprise project, and reflect the feasibility of setting up the wedding consultancy business.
