I investigate how O’Hara explores the possibilities of drawing that places emphasis on the human body and its relation to activity in various environments. The act of drawing is examined by implicating the artist as an active participant and not as a passive bystander or observer of events. By placing the artist in an active position, emphasis is focused on drawing as a performed activity. This in turn is further explored through the idea of drawing as the trace and connector to the physical environment. The performance and its document.

Article for 'Live Transmission: Performative Drawing of Live Art by Morgan O'Hara catalogue'. The retrospective exhibition and catalogue explores the work of Morgan O'Hara through drawing made of other artists when making performance art work. O'Hara transfers movement to paper, transcribing three dimensions to the two dimensional surface. The process is based on the materiality of movement and described as a 'Live Transmission'.
