Ceramics Collection

 

The collection contains national and international exhibition catalogues, conference papers, interviews with leading ceramicists, promotional materials including: advance notice leaflets pamphletsprospectuses monographs theses leading research publications in the field of ceramics The collection is unique, as it covers the emerging years of ceramic research publications at a period where the publishing industry produced very little material in this area. More than this the collection focuses on many aspects of ceramics, including material on studio pottery, functional ware, public art and is a record of leading makers including amongst others, Michael Cardew, Tony Cragg and Claire Curneen; as well as the collector himself. The collection also contains rare materials donated by the Rackham family to the institution. All materials are available to view in the Llandaff Learning Centre
