MetadataShow full item record
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate accuracy and ease of fabrication between CAD/CAM and laboratory implant guides among dental technologists. Methods: An online questionnaire was constructed consisting of three sections, designed for participants to indicate their techniques and opinions. As of publication, ethical approval was pending. Participants were selected by online research of dental laboratories in South Wales (n=26), the online survey was distributed by their contact emails provided and data collected by Survey Monkey. Results: 11 replies were received which gave an over all response rate of 42.3%. The data collected displayed a wide variety of responses regarding accuracy, fabrication methods, software and effects on communication with clinicians. Conclusion: It was concluded that any correlations made are limited to the participants in this study only.
